Adoptive and Foster Families of Maine (AFFM) is the state's largest support organization for foster, adoptive, and kinship families. Founded to strengthen families caring for Maine's most vulnerable children, AFFM provides training, peer support groups, resource navigation, respite coordination, and a statewide network of county-level family support contacts. Their Kinship Program specifically supports grandparents and other relatives raising children with systems navigation, mentoring, support groups, and material goods. All services are free.
