How to get involved
- Sign up by email. Include your trade or skills, experience, service area, and public contact information.
- Get listed. We add your information to the Community Partner directory so seniors and their families can find you.
- Connect with neighbors. People can reach out directly. We can also share your public information when someone contacts Support Maine looking for repair help.
- You decide. Choose the jobs you take, your price, and when you are available. Agree on scope, scheduling, and any cost before work starts.
Help neighbors may be looking for
- Handrails, grab bars, and small carpentry repairs
- Weatherstripping and drafty doors or windows
- Minor plumbing repairs
- Smoke and carbon monoxide detector installation
- Heating, plumbing, or electrical work by appropriately qualified tradespeople
Only offer work you are qualified to carry out. People arranging repairs should ask about relevant licenses, insurance, references, and written estimates.
