About this resource

The Statewide Domestic Violence Helpline is operated by the Maine Coalition to End Domestic Violence (MCEDV), founded in 1977. The helpline connects callers with trained advocates at one of ten local Domestic Violence Resource Centers across Maine. MCEDV works to end domestic abuse, dating abuse, stalking, elder abuse, and sex trafficking through direct services, prevention education, and policy advocacy.

Call 1-866-834-4357 anytime. An advocate will listen, help you assess your safety, and connect you with your nearest Domestic Violence Resource Center for in-person services including shelter, support groups, and legal advocacy. All conversations are confidential.

Nothing, just call. If meeting in person, bring any court papers or protective orders if you have them.
