About this resource
Maine Child Development Services (CDS) is a statewide program under the Maine Department of Education that provides early intervention services for children under three years of age. Through nine regional sites, CDS offers comprehensive evaluations of all areas of development to detect early problems in learning, language, motor skills, social skills, and signs of disabilities. Services are provided at no cost to families and are delivered in the child's natural environment, such as the home or childcare setting.
