If you or someone you know is experiencing domestic violence, the Maine Domestic Violence Helpline at 1-866-834-4357 is available 24/7 and completely confidential. Trained advocates can help with safety planning, shelter, legal advocacy, and connecting you to your nearest program. Maine has nine regional domestic violence organizations, including Through These Doors serving the Portland area, Safe Voices in Lewiston/Auburn, and Spruce Run-Womancare Alliance in the Bangor region. All services are free, and you do not need to be in crisis to reach out.
