Who can use this?
Available to anyone in Hancock or Washington County affected by sexual violence. All services are free and confidential. No ID, insurance, or documentation required. Text and chat support also available weekdays 8 AM–11 PM.
About this resource
AMHC Sexual Assault Services provides sexual assault advocacy, crisis services, and peer support in Hancock and Washington counties, some of Maine's most rural communities. They operate a 24-hour helpline and provide mobile crisis response, hospital and court accompaniment, support groups, and community education. The program is part of the larger Aroostook Mental Health Center network.

Call the 24-hour helpline at 1-800-871-7741 anytime. A trained advocate will listen, provide immediate support, and connect you with services. You can also text or chat during weekday hours. If you need in-person help, advocates are available in Ellsworth, Calais, and Machias.
