About this resource

The Low-Income Assistance Program (LIAP) provides a monthly discount on electric bills for qualifying low-income customers of Central Maine Power (CMP) and Versant Power. The discount is tiered based on income level. Households at or below 150% of the federal poverty level receive the largest discount (up to 30% off delivery and supply rates). The program is expanding automatic enrollment in 2026 so all eligible households are enrolled.

What to expect
