About this resource
MaineHousing's Heat Pump Program pays for the purchase and installation of a heat pump as a secondary heat source for eligible low-income homeowners. Heat pumps provide energy-efficient heating in winter and cooling in summer, significantly reducing energy costs compared to oil or electric baseboard heat. The home must be inspected and deemed a good candidate by a qualified heat pump contractor. The program is available as funding allows.
