How to get started
Visit cashmaine.org or call 211 to find your nearest site and schedule an appointment. A trained, IRS-certified volunteer will prepare and e-file your return for free.

CA$H Maine (Creating Assets, Savings & Hope) is a statewide collaboration of eight regional coalitions with 50 nonprofit and for-profit partners. IRS-certified volunteers prepare federal and state tax returns at no cost.

What to have ready.
Bring photo ID for each tax filer, Social Security cards and birth dates for everyone listed on the return, income forms, and bank details. Last year's return is helpful but not required; site-specific documents may be needed.
