Community Health and Counseling Services (CHCS) is a major behavioral health provider in eastern and northern Maine. Their treatment foster care program recruits and trains professional foster parents to care for children with complex needs who are in DHHS custody. CHCS provides training, ongoing support, and compensation designed for their professional treatment foster parents, helping children heal from the trauma of past abuse and neglect.
