Getting started.
Who this helps
Lisbon public school students from pre-K through grade 12 may qualify if they lack a fixed, regular, and adequate place to sleep. This can include situations such as sharing housing due to loss of housing or economic hardship, staying in a motel or shelter, or sleeping in a car, park, or other place not meant for regular sleeping.
How to get started
Students can enroll right away even if they do not yet have the usual school documents or immunization records.
Contact the district liaison.
Call Lisbon School Department at 207-353-6711, extension 1904, to reach Julie Nichols.
Find McKinney-Vento forms.
On the Lisbon School Department McKinney-Vento page, open Forms and Documents for school decision, dispute, and transportation forms.
Discuss school options.
Ask Julie Nichols about enrolling in the student's current school or the school near where they now stay.
How they can help.
