NAMI Maine's Family Respite Program provides certified respite caregivers for children with significant developmental delays and behavioral or emotional disorders. Families, including foster and kinship families, may receive up to 288 hours of respite care per year. Caregivers are carefully matched with families and can provide care in the home or community settings, giving parents a much-needed break while their children are in safe, trained hands.
