Getting started.
Who this helps
Waldo County residents who need holiday food or help with gifts for their children can apply.
How to get started
WCAP tries to match each household with a local organization and notifies the household as soon as possible. Food boxes are generally delivered on the Saturday before Thanksgiving or Christmas.
Use the application.
Complete the online Neighbor for Neighbor application linked from WCAP's Community Partnerships page. Printed applications are generally available at town offices, schools, libraries, food pantries, churches, health partners, and community organizations.
Wait for a match.
WCAP will notify your household whether a local organization can help with food or gifts. Applying does not guarantee a match.
Plan for box delivery.
If your household receives a food box, arrange for someone to be home to receive it.
How they can help.
WCAP coordinates local organizations that share holiday food and gift projects across Waldo County.

- Help with gifts for children
- Matching with a local group that provides food or gifts
A few questions before you go.
Check how the service works, when it is available, and any costs. Ask about communication or accessibility support if you need it.
- Can my household receive both food and gift help?
- Will every household that applies be matched?
- When will I hear whether my household was matched?
- Does someone need to be home for a food box delivery?
