Open to the general public in Penobscot and Piscataquis counties. People with chronic illness, veterans, seniors, disabilities, some mental health diagnoses, and low income may be eligible; funding affects cost.
How to get started
Call at least three business days in advance to schedule a general-public ride. Penquis offers wheelchair-accessible vehicles and also uses volunteer drivers and taxis. Depending on funding, many trips are free or cost $0.50 to $7.00 one way.

Penquis Lynx provides a variety of transportation services throughout Penobscot and Piscataquis counties. General-public trips must be scheduled three business days ahead.
