Getting started.
Who this helps
Yarmouth residents who cannot provide for basic needs may qualify. Applicants must verify income and expenses. Applicants who are able to work must seek work.
How to get started
The eligibility decision applies for a 30-day period.
Schedule an appointment.
Call 207-846-2406 or email [email protected] to schedule. Appointments are recommended. Walk-ins depend on staff availability.
Complete the screening.
First-time applicants have a phone screening about eligibility and which documents to provide.
Bring documents and apply.
Bring your records to the appointment. The GA administrator can help you complete the application form.
How they can help.
The Town administers this program as a last resort. It gives vouchers, not cash. Repeat applicants are asked to apply for other state and local programs, such as TANF, SNAP, HEAP, and MaineCare.
