Getting started.

Who this helps

Youth ages 0 to 21 may qualify if they have MaineCare or a Katie Beckett waiver, a mental health diagnosis, and a need for intensive treatment beyond outpatient therapy. The youth and their caregivers must take part in treatment.

How to get started

HCT uses strategies to help youth and families manage symptoms and improve daily life. The youth and their caregivers take part in treatment.

  1. Call the referral center.

  2. Complete an assessment.

AMHC starts mental health services with an assessment to understand needs and goals.

  3. Plan ongoing support.
