Getting started.
Who this helps
Kids in grades 5 through 12. Youth Conservation Corps jobs are for high school-aged youth.
How to get started
Kids can come by after school to ride, play games or work on a bike with staff. Bike Bus riders need a helmet, and a lock is a good idea.
Pick a program.
Look over the programs on the Apex website to see which ones fit your child’s grade.
Sign up online.
Register through the Apex registration portal, or call (207) 282-9700 to ask about a program.
Drop in after school.
The bike shop and drop-in programs at 45 Granite St are open Monday through Friday, 3 to 6 PM.
Ask about cost.
If cost or access is a worry, contact Apex staff. They work to make programs open to everyone who wants to join.
How they can help.
Apex Youth Connection runs hands-on and outdoor programs with adult mentors. After school, kids can ride the trails and pump track, play games, do arts and crafts, join the youth council, or try 3-D printing and robotics. Apex also runs after-school programs at Saco and Biddeford Middle Schools and a paid summer Youth Conservation Corps for high schoolers.
