Who this helps
Families may qualify if income is at or below the federal poverty level, they are experiencing homelessness, have children in foster care, or receive TANF, SSI, or SNAP. The program serves children 6 weeks to 5 years old.
How to get started
Submit the online pre-enrollment application. For questions, call (207) 459-2963 or email [email protected]. The coordinator schedules an appointment, and applicants are placed on a waitlist until a spot opens.

York County Head Start provides high-quality early childhood care and education to children 6 weeks to 5 years across York County. Biddeford Pre-K is at 320 Hill St; Early Head Start is at 2 Stone St. The program provides health screenings, nutritious meals and nutrition activities, and helps families connect with medical and dental care and other resources.

Ask the enrollment coordinator for the current supporting-document list; an immunization record is required before a child attends.
