How to get started
Call or visit a field office to meet with a claims officer. They will review your military service, assess potential benefits, and help you file claims at no cost. Appointments are recommended but walk-ins are accepted at most offices.

The Bureau of Maine Veterans' Services is the state agency dedicated to helping Maine veterans and their families. They operate field offices across the state staffed by trained claims officers who assist with VA disability claims, pension applications, education benefits, and other federal and state programs at no cost.
