The Veterans Emergency Financial Assistance Program (VEFAP) provides emergency financial grants to Maine veterans who are experiencing a financial crisis. Grants of up to $2,000 help cover essential needs such as rent, utilities, food, medical expenses, and transportation. This is grant assistance, not a loan, so no repayment is required.
