Who this helps
Children ages 3-5 from families at or below the federal poverty level. Children in foster care, experiencing homelessness, or receiving TANF are automatically eligible.
How they can help.
Opportunity Alliance Head Start in South Portland provides free, high-quality early childhood education for children ages 3-5 from low-income families. The program includes classroom instruction, nutritious meals, health screenings, and family support services. Head Start prepares children for kindergarten while supporting the whole family.
