Getting started.
Who this helps
All families who are expecting or have a baby under 3 months may join. Visits can continue until the child turns 3.
How to get started
During a scheduled visit, you can share your experiences, ask questions, and get information based on your needs. Visits usually last 1 to 1½ hours.
Request a call.
On the Aroostook Council for Healthy Families Home Visiting page, open the Home Visiting form to request a call. The local Maine Families team will contact you.
Discuss joining.
Talk with the local team about enrollment and what support you want.
Plan your visits.
You and your Family Visitor decide how often and where to meet. Visits may be at home, another safe place, or online.
How they can help.

A few questions before you go.
Check how the service works, when it is available, and any costs. Ask about communication or accessibility support if you need it.

- How long does a visit last?
- Can we meet somewhere besides my home?
