Must reside in Kennebec, Somerset, Lincoln, or Sagadahoc counties. Most programs require income at or below 250% of the federal poverty level.
How to get started
Call to schedule an appointment. A caseworker will assess your housing situation and connect you with appropriate programs. Emergency funds may be available for immediate crisis.

KVCAP's Energy and Housing Services Department helps low-income residents improve their housing stability and quality of life. Programs include emergency rental assistance, homelessness prevention, home repair, weatherization, foreclosure prevention, and homebuyer education.

What to have ready.
