The MaineHealth Food Pantry operates out of Maine Medical Center on Congress Street in Portland. It was established to address food insecurity in the community by providing healthy, nutritious food at no cost. The pantry is open to anyone. You do not need to be a MaineHealth patient. It stocks fresh produce, dairy, proteins, and shelf-stable pantry staples. The pantry is accessible by METRO bus routes 1, 5, 7, 9A, and 9B, with free parking available at the St. John Street entrance.
