How they can help.
Penquis administers the Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP) for Knox County residents from their Rockland office. The program provides financial assistance to help income-eligible households pay for heating fuel during the winter months. Benefits are paid directly to the household's fuel provider. Penquis can also connect families with weatherization services and other energy-saving programs to reduce long-term heating costs.
