Penquis administers the Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP) for Piscataquis County residents from their Dover-Foxcroft office. LIHEAP provides financial assistance to help eligible low-income households pay for heating fuel. For 2026-2027, HEAP applications opened August 3, 2026 and continue until funds are exhausted or May 29, 2027.
