Getting started.
Who this helps
Kittery individuals and families who struggle to pay for heat and do not qualify for town energy assistance may request help.
How to get started
An intake specialist returns calls the next business day. Fuel & More is not an emergency service.
Call Mainspring.
Call (207) 439-0246 to request Fuel & More assistance.
Complete the interview.
An intake specialist will interview you by phone.
Arrange a meeting if asked.
If the intake specialist asks to meet in person, work with them to set a convenient time for a confidential meeting.
Wait for delivery.
Fuel is ordered and delivered to your home within a week. An empty tank may take longer if a technician needs to restart the furnace.
How they can help.
Fuel & More is a volunteer-run nonprofit separate from the Town of Kittery. Mainspring handles intake. The program may also help with home energy audits, large CMP bills, and car repairs.
- Heating fuel ordered and delivered to your home
- Home energy audits
- Help with large CMP bills
- Help with car repairs that support transportation to work
A few questions before you go.
Check how the service works, when it is available, and any costs. Ask about communication or accessibility support if you need it.
- Could I get help with an energy bill?
- Can the program help with car repairs?
- How long might fuel delivery take?
- What happens if my tank is empty?
