Community members in need may sign up for the firewood distribution list. Supplies are limited, so requests may not all be filled.
How to get started
Firewood is distributed on a first-come, first-served basis. The supply may not fill every request.
Use the Request Firewood form.
Open the Request Firewood form on Somerset Woods Share’s website to join the distribution list.
Contact Emma directly.

Plan for pickup.
Bring a vehicle that can fit about a quarter cord and plan to load the wood yourself. Contact Somerset Woods ahead of time if you need loading help.
How they can help.
Somerset Woods Share is a program of Somerset Woods Trustees, a nonprofit land trust in Somerset County. It uses firewood from conserved lands and accepts wood donations.
- Small firewood allotments of roughly ¼ to ⅓ cord
- Short-term or emergency heating assistance
- Pickup in Solon with no delivery
- Loading help if arranged in advance
