HEAP eligibility depends on household size and gross household income limits; additional criteria may apply. Community Concepts administers weatherization for eligible York County households; contact them for current requirements.
How to get started
Call (207) 459-2950 for a telephone appointment. You can apply by phone, in person at the Sanford office, or by mail to that office. Bring required documents. Contact Community Concepts at (207) 795-4065 about weatherization.
How they can help.
YCCAC administers HEAP heating assistance, Head Start, transportation, and other services. Community Concepts now administers weatherization.
- LIHEAP fuel assistance: seasonal payment to your heating fuel vendor (all fuel types)
- Energy Crisis Intervention Program (ECIP): emergency funds when fuel runs out
- Weatherization services are administered by Community Concepts; contact them about current services and eligibility.
- Heating-system repair and replacement programs are administered by Community Concepts.
- Ask Community Concepts about weatherization and home energy improvements.
What to have ready.
For HEAP, provide household names, dates of birth and Social Security numbers, proof of citizenship and income, recent energy bills showing usage, and your heating fuel type.
